VELEBIT – MOUNTAINEERING, ABSEILING
difficulty level: high difficulty

Meeting point: Entrance to the National park Paklenica, 9:00 am. Start of a mountaineering route through Paklenica. Walking along the beautiful canyon, visiting underground caves, climbing along ropes via ferrata, with short breaks and enjoying the view of the Croatian mountains and the sea. After a longer lunch break we get going to the mountain, where we will go down a vertical rock on a rope into a precipice. After several hours we will reach the climbers’ lodging, where we will prepare for the night thus ending day 1 of the mountaineering route.

VELEBIT – MOUNTAINEERING
difficulty level: high difficulty

In the morning after breakfast we start climbing towards the highest summits of Velebit. After a difficult and demanding climb, when you reach the top you will be rewarded with a spectacular view. At the mountaintop we will have a picnic and some rest and after that we will descend to our next shelter for the night. Our mountaineering adventure ends today. Get-together for dinner, rest.

VELEBIT / KRUPA RIVER – MOUNTAIN BIKING
difficulty level: difficult

After breakfast we set off for one hour of trekking through meadows and the forest. We get to the forest trail where our mountaineering route ends. After a break we start biking along the forest macadam, thus getting down the mountain through wilderness and abandoned mountain villages. With short breaks and lunch on beautiful meadows, mountain tracks will lead us to the road and finally to the Krupa River. Our biking tour ends with a view of the canyon. After a break we descend to the camp to prepare for the night. Then we take a swim in the crystal clear river, have dinner and rest.

Duration of the route: 5-6 hours by bike, trekking 1-2 hours.

KRUPA RIVER – TREKKING
difficulty level: difficult

After lunch we start trekking through the beautiful landscape of the protected nature park, enjoying the view of the river canyon, numerous waterfalls and untouched nature. Arrival to the destination point in the late afternoon, preparation for the night camp, dinner, rest and gathering by the fire.

Duration of the route: trekking 6-8 hours.

ZRMANJA RIVER – KAYAKING
difficulty level: easy

Breakfast. Clearing off equipment and preparation for kayaking down the Zrmanja River. Its upper stream will take you slowly along its gentle green bank, gradually introducing you with its waterfalls, showing ever steeper canyon cliffs and frothing more and more around your kayak leaving you breathless because of its astonishing beauty. Break including refreshment and swimming. Arrival to the destination point in the late afternoon.

KRUPA – the river springing at the foot of the Velebit Mountain near the small hamlet of Mandici. The water is clean, cold and clear. It forces its way through deep cuttings in the rocks. Krupa’s stream is only 7 km long but it has created some twenty waterfalls, the majority of which belong to the most beautiful cascades in Croatia either by their height, indentedness or form.

ZRMANJA – springs at the foot of the Velebit’s Poštaka summit and flows into the Novigrad Sea. Its stream of 69 km has created one of the most impressive canyons decorating it with numerous waterfalls, travertine thresholds, screes and gravel detritus. The canyon cliffs are higher than 300 m and the largest waterfall, Visokibuk, is 11 m high.

Cancellation Note

• In case of bad weather conditions we withhold the right to change the time schedule and the schedule of activities and trips. All trips will take place in changed schedule.
• In case that an insufficient number of participants apply for the tour at the latest 5 days prior to the beginning of the package tour the travel agency is obliged to inform the participants on cancellation of the programme.
